China Sourcing / Local Execution

China Sourcing

A sourcing team based in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, working inside the factories that make the goods: supplier communication, factory access, sample coordination, production follow-up, quality checks before dispatch and issue escalation agreed with the client before an order continues.

01 / Field tasks

What a local team actually does on an order.

Six tasks carried out in China, each with the record it leaves behind. The stage order behind them, and the checkpoints between the stages, are set out on Our Process; the service scope is on Sourcing Services.

  1. 01

    Supplier communication

    In the field
The merchandising (follow-up) team talks to the factory directly, in Chinese and in the working hours the factory keeps. The requirement is confirmed in writing with the client before sourcing starts.
    What it changes
The specification reaches the people who will make the goods in the language they work in, and questions on material, size, colour and packaging are answered while the requirement is still being clarified.
    Record
A written requirement covering product, quantity, target market, material, size, colour and packaging.
  2. 02

    Factory access and on-site visits

    In the field
Candidates are screened against the product type, the destination country, the customisation quantity, packaging, price, target market and brand premium. Where the order calls for it, the factory is audited on site.
    What it changes
A shortlist is built on factory visits rather than on directory listings: the workshop that would make the goods is seen before the order is placed with it.
    Record
Screening notes, plus a factory audit report where the order requires one.
  3. 03

    Sample coordination

    In the field
Sampling is arranged with the supplier, and the client confirms material, size, colour and packaging on the sample before mass production starts. Where the factory provides the sample free of charge, no sample fee is added; the courier cost is borne by the client.
    What it changes
Samples are chased, received and examined locally. What the client approves on the sample is the reference production is later followed against.
    Record
A confirmed sample with written client approval, and sample photography held with the order records.
  4. 04

    Production follow-up

    In the field
QC checks the materials before production starts, and merchandising follows the order with the factory while it runs.
    What it changes
Progress is seen on the workshop floor rather than assumed from a status message, and a schedule or specification question is raised while the goods can still be changed.
    Record
Pre-production material check notes and written follow-up on production and lead time.
  5. 05

    Quality checks before dispatch

    In the field
Before dispatch, QC inspects the products and the packaging against industry standards and the requirements raised on the order, takes photographs and video, and issues an inspection report. Where the order calls for one, a bulk sample is sent.
    What it changes
The check is carried out at the factory, on the goods themselves, and the result reaches the client as a report with photographic evidence attached.
    Record
An inspection report with photographs and video; a bulk sample where the order requires one.
  6. 06

Issue escalation agreed with the client

    In the field
When a lead time, a specification change or a quality question appears, the factory is told immediately, the client is given the issue together with what it means for the order, and production or dispatch continues only once the client agrees to the way forward.
    What it changes
The conversation with the factory and the conversation with the client run in parallel, not in sequence through a chain of intermediaries, so a decision can be reached while the goods are still in production.
    Record
The agreed way forward, held with the order records.
02 / Base and operating facts

The work, and what it leaves on file.

Each figure below is a placeholder labelled with the size it should be replaced at, showing the kind of field photograph the page calls for.

04 / What we do not claim

No nationwide coverage. No price guarantee.

The operating materials behind this page do not support a coverage, price or timing claim, so none is made here. Where a fact is not confirmed, it is stated as unconfirmed rather than filled in.

Ruled out on this page

Stated plainly, so nothing above is read as more than it is:

  • Nationwide supplier or factory coverage is not claimed. Suppliers are screened for the requirement at hand: product type, destination country, customisation quantity, packaging, price, target market and brand premium.
  • No price guarantee, no price ranking and no lowest-price claim is made. Factory quotations are compared and presented under the agreed trade model, and the price approved for an order is the price of that order.
  • No response time, lead time or delivery window is published. Timing is confirmed per order.
  • No capacity, market share, supplier count, customer count or performance statistic is published, and no client is named.
  • No certification is claimed for Huntersourcing. Audits, inspections and sampling follow industry standards together with the requirements raised on the order, and the documents for them are agreed per order.

Send the requirement — the field work starts with it.

Product, quantity, target market and any customisation are enough for the first step: clarifying what can be sourced and how the order would run in the factory.
